THE BRIEF: TRENDING MERCH THEMES
The merchandise themes worth building right now.
Each quarter we track what enterprise brands are actually launching, the loyalty and recognition programs, the venue merch, the onboarding kits, and the unique product ideas breaking through. This is the Q3 2026 read: the themes we think are worth your roadmap.

THE THEMES
Loyalty leads the way
Nearly every standout program this quarter was a loyalty or membership play, with tiered benefits, milestone gifts, and member-only merch. The discount-as-merch model barely showed up.
Sports sets the pace
Athletics programs dominated the volume: numbered pins, beanies, scarves, and lanyards built around tenure tiers. Stadium and fan merch is where the boldest ideas are landing.
HR is scaling globally
Onboarding and recognition programs appeared across tech and healthcare, with clear demand for global, consistent fulfillment that still feels personal in every market.
WHAT WE SAW
SPORTS & ATHLETICS
Membership merch built on tenure
A professional football club's "2 for 22" membership and a U.S. soccer club's tiered Red Membership (beanie + scarf) both used loyalty tiers with milestone gifts. A university athletics "Loyalty Locker" offered a season-ticket-holder lapel pin, rally towel, lanyard, and theme-game tumbler. Sources: GWS Giants, Red Bull NY, Pitt Athletics
HEALTHCARE & LIFE SCIENCES
Welcome boxes with compliance built in
A premium wellness clinic's member onboarding box (notebook, drink bottle, Pantone-matched stationery) and a pharma Diwali-gifting guide both centered on compliant, low-value, patient-centric items. Sources: Wurlin / PHC, UCPMP gifting guide
ENTERPRISE TECH / HR
Global recognition, automated
A global ad-tech firm's employee-recognition program (Yeti mug, notebook, hoodie; milestone gifts by tenure) cut international shipping 75% by consolidating fragmented regional vendors, the exact pain a single accountable partner removes. Source: GumGum / Goody case study
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Community programs, branded carry
A law firm's back-to-school community giveaway leaned on branded bags, a reminder that even professional-services firms use merch for reach and goodwill. Source: Dudley DeBosier
WHAT IT MEANS
Loyalty, not discounts
The programs worth making are tiered, member-owned, and built to a date, not checkout discounts. That is exactly the work Lizal is set up to execute: owned tooling for numbered runs, compliance designed in, and fulfillment that reaches a distributed audience on time.
